Nick + Brett hosted the most incredible heartfelt and fun celebration of their love at their wedding in the Poconos.

nick and brett have such an incredible partnership. and it’s built on just more than just the two of them. one thing about queer relationships is that they’re built on and thrive in community and with chosen family— and nick and brett have cultivated the most intentional and loving group of humans surrounding them. so much so that one of their dearest friends stood during the ceremony to recite vows they have made to nick and brett, individually written out by some 10+ of their closest people.

they not only welcomed me and their guests in to their world aesthetically on this day, but in to their emotional landscape as well. i truly spent the day feeling like a piece of that chosen family. that feeling is beyond verbal expression when it comes to conveying how meaningful that is to me.

my best self exists in community— always has. i have always said that my favorite thing in this whole life is being in conversation with other humans. and while i have always loved the artistry of photography (and hopefully you all can see that here!!), there is so much to be said about the couples that are really willing to bear their hearts to me. it makes the work so much more impactful. my soul is a tapestry of all of your love stories and that’s never gonna change.
