It’s been over a month and I still can’t stop obsessing over Anna + Nico’s wedding at Santa Clara in Antigua, Guatemala.
This day was any photographer’s dream come true. I spent a full week in gorgeous Antigua for Anna + Nico’s wedding, getting lost weaving through the cobblestone streets that smelled like fresh fried tortillas and chiles. The people in Guatemala are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and by the time I had to fly home, I was beyond sad to leave and already plotting to go back. Nico’s family is from Guatemala, and Anna is from the states, so they had a beautiful wedding in the old convent of Santa Clara infused with Guatemalan aesthetic and culture as well as minimalistic and modern bridal fashion.
Anna was Saint Bridal’s first bride— and she absolutely stunned in their Emmett Gown. Paired with details from Rime Arodaky, she was ethereal all day long, despite the November sun and heat, and hours and hours of dancing! Antigua is an incredible place to get married for so many reasons, but the immaculate temperatures in the Winter months make it especially appealing. The warmth was such a nice break from the NYC cold.
This Antigua, Guatemala wedding at Santa Clara was one of my all time favorites, and the gallery is filled with all of my favorite things— a mix between bridal editorial and full on story-telling. I hope you enjoy and if you happen to be getting married in Antigua, please reach out! I loved it so much that I’m offering minimal travel fees to get back asap.
