I’m still thinking about Kelly + Peter’s session on an NYC Rooftop.

It was absolutely freezing on a January evening with these two, but nothing beats an NYC rooftop engagement session at sunset. If you live in New York you know that a rooftop is a hot commodity, and Kelly + Peter were lucky enough to have access to this one. If had views all the way from the financial district to midtown, and the city was absolutely glowing as the sun went down.

I also got the chance to shoot a lot of film this evening, and even though my fingers were about to fall off from the cold, the film stayed warm enough to still develop beautifully. Those photos are sprinkled in to the gallery below.

A great place to search for an NYC Rooftop for your engagement session is by looking on Peerspace, a website like Airbnb but for SUPER short term rentals— some places even offer just one hour of usage. It’s a great way to have access to a gorgeous space or an NYC rooftop without having to share it with other people or spend a bunch of extra money on an overnight stay.
