Elysha + Charlie’s June Glen Falls House Wedding was Unforgettable.

This Glen Falls House Wedding lives rent free in my head. It was a sweltering day, even though we were deep in the Catskills. It didn’t put a damper on the spirits of the couple, or their massive bridal party. Everyone was just beyond happy to be celebrating a couple that is so easy to love. Elysha got ready in the upper floor of the Glen Falls House while the every detail of the wedding came together thanks to incredible planning and coordination by Pearl Weddings and Amanda Rae Event Styling.

The ceremony space was wooded and simple, the reception space was in a sunken field surrounded by the gardens of the Glen Falls House, and the night ended with a bangin’ after party at the dive bar across the street. Elysha + Charlie hold a special place in my heart for many reasons (their intense and beautiful and caring love for each other being an obvious one!) but they also happen to be some of the first clients I came out to.

On THEIR wedding day they specifically asked me dozens of questions about coming out, about my girlfriend, and how my life had changed for the better. They made me feel so safe and loved just a couple of weeks after I came out publicly, and I will never forget their kindness and how much easier it was to photograph their day from a deeply emotion-driven perspective after our conversations that day. That day was wonderful, inspiring, and sweaty. I’ll never forget Elysha + Charlie’s Glen Falls House wedding.
