It downpoured on Bea + Kurt’s day, but having a 501 Union Wedding meant a built in (and stunning) rain plan.
Bea and Kurt shared vows at 501 Union after spending a slow morning in two different Park Slope Airbnbs. They spent time with their friends and family (Bea has a multitude of sisters!) and met up for a first look under a rainy awning. We walked through the streets of Park Slope toward 501 Union for their wedding, where everything was much drier than we were. I love Brooklyn in the rain because it feels just as romantic as Paris, and Bea and Kurt made it feel even moreso. A 501 Union wedding can look a hundred different and completely unique ways– it’s an incredibly flexible venue with a basically blank canvas for each wedding to imprint its own fingerprint on. Bea had the dreamiest vision for her day and Grace + Grit executed it flawlessly. The only floral used in the entire wedding was forsythia branches, including her bouquet! It was a sunny and yellow dream on the dreary day.
After the ceremony and dinner, Kurt helped Bea as she changed in to a shortened version of her mom’s wedding dress and they danced the night away. I loved this day. I hope you love scrolling through the photos.
