Tam + Adam chose to have a wedding at the Foundry in Long Island City for its secret garden vibes mixed with city views, stunning walls of ivy, and of course for the absolutely stunning outdoor reception space.
Tam and Adam incorporated traditions from both of their family’s cultures, including signing a ketubah, doing the celebratory horah (complete with lifting them up on chairs), and cutting challah at the beginning of the reception, all while keeping the day very true to what details they wanted as well. They passed out bucket hats with their new last name on the dance floor, and Tam even wore custom converse the whole day instead of struggling in heels just because it’s “traditional.”
One thing that I absolutely adore about a wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City is that it’s such a stress free venue. You can plan an entirely outdoors wedding day that is beyond easy to pivot. The indoor spaces range from industrial to reminiscent of a greenhouse, with super moody areas as well as areas flooded with light. It’s basically the perfect Plan A and Plan B all wrapped in to one.
